What Is Kata Foundations and Simulation?

Kata Foundations and Simulation is a one-day training program and learning experience for supervisors and teams. It melds the Kata process and principles with realistic, hands-on simulation.

Kata Foundations and Simulation is an ideal program for those who are new to Kata or are interested in exploring the benefits of Kata and TWI. The program provides a platform to demonstrate the integration of TWI training and, with it, an elegant and effective way to overcome obstacles in Lean, continuous improvement, operational excellence and talent development initiatives.

What We Will Cover

Kata Foundations and Simulation, as is the case with all TWI Institute programs, is focused on the people who supervise teams and individuals. Its emphasis is not only on building skills but also on empowering teams and team leaders to “learn by doing.” Kata Foundations and Simulation provides a proven and reliable model for elevating the kind of employee engagement, problem solving and creativity that advances ongoing or planned continuous improvement, kaizen, Lean and operational excellence initiatives.

Our end-to-end programming assures adoption and continuation of the benefits of Foundational Kata and Simulation. Your TWI Institute coach will meet with management, managers, trainers, supervisors and team leaders to observe your implementation. Your coach will gauge progress, identify problems, suggest solutions and help realign goals.

  • Understanding and practicing the Improvement Kata and Coaching Kata patterns
